Apple’s upcoming iOS 27 update will be available on most iPhone models that are able to run iOS 26, but it could drop support for a handful of devices.

Rumors suggest that iOS 27 will work on the iPhone 12 and later, but not the iPhone 11 models or the iPhone SE 2.

iPhones That Can’t Run iOS 27
The iPhone 11 models and the iPhone SE 2 all use the A13 Bionic chip that first debuted in September 2019. If the rumors are correct, iOS 27 will be limited to devices with the A14 Bionic and later.
The iPad 9 also uses the A13 Bionic chip, so it may not be able to run iPadOS 27.
Apple Intelligence features in iOS 27 will continue to be limited to the iPhone 15 Pro and newer.
Release Date
We’ll get confirmation on which iPhones will run iOS 27 after WWDC, which is set to begin on June 8.
