Two more Android phones just added AirDrop over Quick Share

Following an expansion from Pixel to Samsung Galaxy, Google’s support for AirDrop over Quick Share is now showing up on more Android phones, starting with two models from Oppo and Vivo.

AirDrop over Quick Share first launched on the Pixel 10 series and, being a feature built essentially behind Apple’s back, it was likely smart on Google’s part to expand support slowly. Pixel 9 was next in line, followed by the Galaxy S26 series and, most recently, more Galaxy devices through the One UI 8.5 beta program.

Now, it’s expanding yet again.

9to5Google can confirm that the Oppo Find X9 Ultra now supports AirDrop over Quick Share, something Oppo was teasing earlier this month when the camera-focused smartphone launched. Through the latest updates, support is now live and working just as it does on Pixel and Galaxy. Setting a nearby iPhone to “Everyone” mode lets the Find X9 Ultra see that device and share files, and it works in the other direction as well.

Beyond Oppo, the Vivo X300 Ultra – similarly announced earlier this month – apparently also now supports AirDrop over Quick Share. Android Central notes that the feature suddenly started working on their device, something Vivo hadn’t mentioned was in the pipeline.

There’s no word on where this support will go next, but Oppo and Vivo being added the list suggests that the floodgates are nearly ready to burst open.
