How to check a game’s FPS and other stats on your Galaxy phone

Gamers love their numbers. Whether you’re on PC, console, or phone, there’s something very satisfying about seeing that FPS counter ticking along in the corner. For some, it’s about checking performance, and for others, it’s all about bragging rights.

Gamers also love keeping tabs on stats like CPU and GPU usage. And if you game on a Galaxy phone, you don’t need a third-party app to get that information.

Samsung’s Game Booster app offers a System Monitor feature that gives you a real-time overlay on top of your game. The System Monitor shows the frame rate (FPS), along with CPU, GPU, and RAM usage.

When you’re in a game, open Game Booster. How you access Game Booster depends on whether you’re using standard navigation buttons or navigation gestures. When using buttons, swipe up from the bottom of the screen and hit the Game Booster icon. If you have navigation gestures enabled, you can swipe right on the small handle you see on the left side of the screen.

Once Game Booster is open, just tap the System Monitor button. That will put a floating window on top of your game showing your current FPS, CPU and GPU usage, and RAM consumption.

You can move the window around so it’s not in the way, and it stays visible as long as you’re playing. It’s a nice and quick way to see how a game is running on your device and how many resources it is using.

Once enabled, the floating window will appear every time you run a game. Want to turn it off? Just open Game Booster and tap the System Monitor button again.

Keep in mind that Game Booster’s System Monitor may not be available on every Galaxy phone, but you should find it on most devices launched in 2024 or later running One UI 8 and above.
