Texas Tech softball and Ole Miss will try to score a significant win to continue through the winners bracket of the Lubbock Regional of the NCAA softball tournament today at Tracy Sellers Field.
The Red Raiders and Rebels dispatched of Marist and Boston U, respectively, to begin the regional. They’ll now square off after facing each other in the opening round of the 2025 Women’s College World Series.
Meanwhile, the Terriers and Red Foxes will meet in an elimination game with the winner facing the Texas Tech-Ole Miss loser in a win-or-go-home game.

2:39 p.m.: Two more walks but Emilee Boyer has Texas Tech softball guessing at the plate. 1-0 Ole Miss after 2.
3:19 p.m.: NiJaree Canady is out of the game after 4 innings. Ole Miss leads Texas Tech softball 4-0. Red Raiders still without a hit.
3:11 p.m.: Ole Miss takes a 4-0 lead on a 3-run home run. Texas Tech softball has nothing going offensively.
2:39 p.m.: Two more walks but Emilee Boyer has Texas Tech softball guessing at the plate. 1-0 Ole Miss after 2.
2:23 p.m.: Jackie Lis draws a two-out walk but that does it for Texad Tech softball. 1-0 Ole Miss after 1.
2:13 p.m.: Ole Miss got 3 straight hits to start but Canady limits the damage with a pair of strikeouts. Rebels lead 1-0, Texas Tech softball up to bat in bottom of 1st.
2:06 p.m.: Kenndy Bunker hits a leadoff home run off NiJaree Canady.
