Rock Hill, S.C.— Winthrop women’s golf is back in action this week as it heads down to Hilton Head Island for the Low Country Intercollegiate.

Course: The Golf Club at Indigo Run | Par 72 (36-36) / 5,810 yards
Format: Stroke Play (36 holes on Monday – 1st round 8:30 a.m. shotgun / 2^nd round 1:30 p.m. |18 on Tuesday – Final round 8:30 p.m.)
Tournament Field: Appalachian State, Butler, Dayton, ETSU, Gardner-Webb, Quinnipiac, Richmond, Tennessee Tech, The Citadel, UNC Asheville, UNC Greensboro, USC Upstate, Western Carolina, Winthrop, Wofford

A GLANCE AT THE EAGLES

• Eagles opened spring play at the Oyster Shuck Match Play, earning a 3-2 win over The Citadel before falling 4-1 to Radford
• Constanca Mendonca leads the team with a 73.93 stroke average and has two top 10 finishes
• Alayna Friedt is second on the team with a 76.71 stroke average followed by Maelle Dreyer at 77.50 and Iciar Canalejo at 77.79
• Last year the Eagles finished 8^th in this event, led by an 11^th place finish by Mendonca
• In the team’s last stroke play event (French Broad Collegiate Invitational) the Eagles finished T5th in the rain-shortened event to 36 holes
• Mendonca was T10 while Canalejo finished T14
