It’s a bit odd that the Poco X8 Pro isn’t the most powerful in the X series now that there is a full-fledged flagship chip inside the new and peculiarly named Poco X8 Pro Max. But as far as succession goes, the X8 Pro is a direct sequel to the Poco X7 Pro alright and its Iron Man Edition lives on as well.
The Poco X8 Pro improves on the X7 Pro with more powerful hardware, a larger battery, and a more compact yet brighter display. The Iron Man Edition gets a black overhaul together with a redesigned retail box and case.

The Poco X8 Pro is, in fact, the global version of the Redmi Turbo 5, which is a China-only device.
I features a 6.59-inch AMOLED with 12-bit color depth, 1268p resolution, 120Hz, and Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support. The screen is protected by a Gorilla Glass 7i.
The Poco X8 Pro employs Dimensity 8500 Ultra chip by MediaTek with faster CPU and GPU than the X7 Pro’s Dimensity 8400 Ultra.
The camera department remains pretty basic and hasn’t changed since the X7 Pro. There is a 50MP OIS primary, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 20MP Quad-Bayer selfie camera.

The Poco X8 Pro is powered by a 6,500mAh battery capable of 100W wired and 27W reverse wired charging.
We have never been fans of Xiaomi’s 20MP selfie cameras so we are certainly not fans of seeing this camera here yet again.
The Poco X8 Pro ships with a cable and a case if you opt for the regular edition. Some markets will always get a 90W charger inside the box, while other such as the EU – will get a charger bundle only for the early bird orders.

The Iron Man Edition has a large box reminiscent of the Iron Man’s iconic suit with a traditional red and gray color scheme. The custom case has a ribbed design evoking the power armor’s torso and a mix of matte and glossy materials.

There are also a Marvel-branded SIM ejector and a thick piece of cardboard with drawings of Iron Man’s power armor.

The USB cable is also personalized in red color, matching the box and the OG Iron Man suit.

Before we continue, we should also mention the Iron Man 3 action figure – that’s just a retail action figure by ZD Toys, and it is not part of the Iron Man Edition packaging.
