Pacers Micah Potter will announce gender of his baby with his sneakers

Pacers center Micah Potter will use his sneakers for a special purpose in the Pacers’ Easter Sunday game against the Cavaliers in Cleveland.

Potter — who grew up in the Cleveland suburb of Mentor and started his college career in Ohio State before finishing at Wisconsin — announced last month that he and his wife, Elle, are having a baby, which is due in September. On Sunday, he will announce the gender through the color of his sneakers.

Potter posted a photo on Instagram on Saturday of two Nike sneakers, one blue and one pink, and said whichever he wears on the floor for Sunday’s game will be the gender of the baby.
