The Xiaomi Redmi K90 series is getting a new gaming-centric model: the Redmi K90 Max. The company has now revealed the release date for the device.
The Redmi K90 Max is scheduled to launch on April 21 at 7 PM local time in China. Moreover, pre-orders for the device are now open on various Chinese e-commerce platforms.
The company has revealed that the device will feature a 6.83-inch screen with a 165Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 3,500 nits. Another key highlight of the Redmi K90 Max is its active cooling fan. The company claims the 18.1mm fan can help reduce the device’s temperature by 10°C within 100 seconds of sustained gaming.
Notably, the K90 Max also carries IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. The device features an aluminum alloy frame and has so far been shown in a ‘Space Silver’ color option. Teaser images also confirm a dual rear camera setup. However, full specifications have not yet been officially disclosed.
According to leaks, the device may feature a Dimensity 9500 processor and a D2 discrete graphics chip. In other news, Oppo has also scheduled the launch of its flagship smartphones, including Find X9 Ultra and Find X9s Pro, on April 21.
