Mia Williams hit the go-ahead two-run home run in the top of the seventh to lead the Texas Tech softball team to a 10-8 win over Florida in Game 1 of their Super Regional series.
The Red Raiders took a 7-1 lead but saw the Gators tie the game on a three-run home run in the sixth inning. Williams took her former team deep in the top of the seventh in what was the game-winning HR.
Lauren Allred hit a three-run home run and drove in four and Lagi Quiroga also went yard for Texas Tech. Ava Brown hit a pair of home runs for Florida.

12:27 p.m.: Texas Tech softball has 3 more long balls hit but they’re all caught. We head to the bottom of the 7th, Red Raiders up 10-8.
12:24 p.m.: Mia Williams hammers the go-ahead 2-run home run to put Texas Tech softball up 10-8.
12:15 p.m.: Ava Brown hits another HR, this one a 3-run shot that ties the game 8-8. We go to the 7th.
11:59 a.m.: Lauren Allred drives in another run on a perfectly executed hit-and-run to make it 8-4 Texas Tech softball, heading to bottom 6th.
11:49 a.m.: Florida gets three back on back-to-back home runs. Texas Tech softball leads 7-4 through 5 innings.
11:39 a.m.: Florida finally ends the inning but not before a four-run inning from Texas Tech softball heading to the bottom of the 5th.
11:35 a.m.: Lagi Quiroga absolutely demolishes a solo home run and it’s now 7-1 in favor of Texas Tech softball.
11:30 a.m.: Lauren Allred extends Texas Tech softball’s lead with a 3-run home run in the 5th. It’s 6-1.
11:12 a.m.: Three straight two-out doubles, helped by poor defense from the Florida shortstop, from Hailey Toney, Lagi Quiroga and Mia Williams puts Texas Tech softball up 3-1 going to the bottom of the 4th.
10:53 a.m.: 1-2-3 inning for Texas Tech softball, Florida leads 1-0 through 3 innings.
10:40 a.m.: Terry works around a leadoff walk to end the 2nd. Texas Tech softball trails 1-0.
10:32 a.m.: Texas Tech softball strands a pair of runners in each of the first 2 innings.
10:24 a.m.: Florida takes a 1-0 lead on Texas Tech softball through the first inning.
10:13 a.m.: Kaitlyn Terry sends one flying but misses the home run by a few feet. Texas Tech softball threatens but can’t cash in.
10:06 a.m.: Mia Williams gets hit by the first pitch of the game from Keagan Rothrock.
9:47 a.m.: Kaitlyn Terry gets the start in the circle for Texas Tech softball. Florida will go with ace Keagan Rothrock. First pitch in about 20 minutes.
