Traore, 23, was born in France but raised in London, England. He moved to the United States and played at Clearwater Academy in Clearwater, Florida, where he was a three-star recruit.

After spending two seasons at Arkansas State, where he earned All-Sun Belt honors in 2022, Traore transferred to Mississippi State for three more years. In 48 games, he caught 131 passes for 1,482 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Traore was a member of the International Player Pathway Program and was in attendance at the draft.
