Driver used handheld mobile phone on the M271 – In The Dock


JAMES DUELL, 38, of Hedley Close, Fawley, pleaded guilty to using handheld mobile phone while driving on the M271 in Southampton on June 27 2025. Banned from driving for six months and fined £400 with £130 costs and £160 victim services surcharge.

COURTNEY ASTON, 21, of Lower Brownhill Road, Southampton, admitted using threatening behaviour in Southampton on June 22 2025. Fined £40 with £85 costs and £16 victim services surcharge.

DELAWAR SHERZAD, 26, of Padwell Road, Southampton, admitted driving with no insurance at Above Bar Street, Southampton, on June 10 2025. Banned from driving for four months and fined £115 with £130 costs and £64 victim services surcharge. Also pleaded guilty to driving without a licence. Driving record endorsed.

CARLITO MARTINS, 20, of Hanover Buildings, Southampton, pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a male in Southampton on March 6 2024. Also pleaded guilty to exposing himself. Community order, including requirement to attend 24 days of rehabilitation activity and carry out 100 hours of unpaid work. Must pay £85 costs and £114 victim services surcharge.

BAILEY MARCHINGTON, 20, of Avery Lane, Gosport, admitted two counts of driving with a defective tyre at Basingstoke on June 28 2025. Fined £266 with £130 costs and £106 victim services surcharge. Driving record endorsed with three penalty points.

BOSTON WARD, 34, of Wilton Avenue, Southampton, admitted using threatening behaviour at Hedge End on August 22 2025. Bailed until May 22 2026.

JACK WAREHAM, 31, of Forest Lea, Cadnam, pleaded guilty to assault by beating in Southampton on January 31 2026. Also pleaded guilty to sending obscene, indecent or menacing message on the same day. Community order, restraining order, and £200 compensation order. Told to pay £85 costs.

DARYL HICKS, 34, of Green Park Road, Southampton, admitted stealing goods valued at £49.66 from Asda at Eastleigh on December 9 2025. Told to pay £24.83 compensation.

STACEY SMALL, 47, of Kendal Avenue, Southampton, admitted drink driving at Rownhams Road, North Baddesley on January 14 2026. Defendant had 110 micrograms in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 micrograms. Bailed until May 27 2026.
