Dylan Harper (thumb) is all set to play and join the Spurs’ Game 1 matchup against the Trail Blazers.
Approaching their opening round matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers, the San Antonio Spurs have announced some great news regarding Dylan Harper.
In Sunday’s Game 1 of the first-round series, the Spurs have formally removed Harper (thumb) from their injury report.
Harper sustained a left thumb injury in the Spurs’ regular-season finale loss last week against the Denver Nuggets. In preparation ahead of the Spurs’ playoff campaign, he was seen having a wrap on his injured thumb during the team’s practices.
As such, the status of Harper for their series opener against the Trail Blazers was already confirmed a few days ago by head coach Mitch Johnson, noting that they expect the reigning No. 2 overall pick to suit up.
Harper’s presence would be huge for the Spurs in going up against the Blazers. In 69 games this past regular season, he averaged 11.8 points in over 50 percent shooting with 3.9 assists and 3.4 rebounds.
