Google Pay has launched a new campaign for its ‘Pocket Money’ feature, developed on UPI Circle in partnership with NPCI.
Created by TBWA\Lintas, the campaign features a series of films centred on teenagers navigating everyday situations where digital payments are required.
The films depict how teenagers, despite being independent in other aspects, often depend on parents or older family members for transactions. The feature allows users to link a teenager’s UPI ID to a parent’s bank account, enabling payments with parental control.
The campaign features 15-year-old cricketer Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and focuses on everyday use cases of digital payments among younger users.
Speaking about the campaign, Vasudha Misra, president – Creative, TBWA\ Lintas said: “Teenage years, whether they are spent breaking records in the IPL or going for tuitions, are usually the time when young adults get their first taste of independence. And responsibility. Pocket Money on Google Pay is a wonderful way (a parent’s PoV here) to introduce them to digital finance and handling money, while equipping them to chase their dreams.”
The campaign is being rolled out across television, digital and social platforms during the IPL 2026 season.
