Duke leads 72-69 but UConn has the ball with a chance to tie it in the closing seconds.

Duke leads 70-66 with the ball and 1:20 to play. The Huskies are nearly out of chances to close the gap.

The Huskies are 3-of-20 from behind the 3-point line, have made six fewer free throws and are getting out-rebounded by eight.

But they’ve committed six fewer turnovers than the Blue Devils and have 13 points off Duke’s 11 turnovers. Duke has seven points off five UConn turnovers.

Somehow the Huskies have rallied to make this a one-score game. Duke’s lead is down to 67-64 with 3:42 to go. Strap in!

Maybe the 3-point well is finally open for UConn? The Huskies need a few more.

Just when it seemed like UConn was closing the gap, the Blue Devils came right back and extended the lead. It would help if the Huskies could knock down a few 3-pointers. They’re 1 of 18 from distance in this game.

Duke leads 62-51. 7:59 to go.

Reed is having a heck of an NCAA tournament. He’s 9-of-15 from the floor for 23 points and has six rebounds so far. He does have three fouls, however; if he gets a fourth, UConn may roll the dice and leave him in.

The Huskies are making their first real run of this game, and it’s mostly Tarris Reed getting it done. He’s got 23 points and Duke’s lead is down to 56-49 with 10:59 to play.

The Huskies are getting good looks … but none are going in. And it’s blunting any hope of a comeback.

The Huskies are shooting 35.3%, including a putrid 1 of 11 from 3-point range. That will obviously need to improve if they have any shot of coming back in this one.

Duke is hitting 51.7% of its shots.

The Boozer brothers are leading the way for Duke. Cameron has 14 points, 5, rebounds, 3 assists and 2 blocks. Cayden has 13 points on 4 of 4 shooting.

Not only is UConn having issues defending Duke’s frontcourt, but the Huskies now can’t buy a basket.

After Michigan destroyed Tennessee earlier today, this game appears to be going in that direction as Duke went on a 14-0 run to open up a huge lead.

Blue Devils lead UConn 44-25 late in the 1st.

The Blue Devils are better on both ends of the court right now, out-rebounding and out-shooting UConn en route to a 30-21 lead. 7:29 to go in the 1st half.

Boozer is 4-of-8 from the field. Duke has taken 17 field goal attempts at the halfway point of the first half.

UCLA is in the Final Four for the second consecutive season with a 70-58 win over Duke.

Lauren Betts led the Bruins with 23 points, 10 rebounds and 5 steals. Angela Dugalic followed with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists.

Duke was led by Taina Mair’s 21 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Riley Nelson added 13, while Delaney Thomas scored 12 with 6 boards.

Duke is controlling the game so far but Tarris Reed Jr. has 12 of UConn’s 16 points and is keeping it somewhat close. Duke leads 22-16 at the under-12 timeout.

The Blue Devils are passing the ball very well so far. Duke has gotten good looks from behind the arc as UConn has bothered Cameron Boozer down low a bit.
