Samsung Pulls Plug on Galaxy Z TriFold. Here’s How to Find One Before They’re Gone

Samsung plans to stop selling its innovative triple-folding smartphone less than three months after it went on sale. The news was confirmed by a Samsung spokesperson speaking to Bloomberg, who said the company would sell through existing stock in its home market, Korea, and then follow suit in the US.

The Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold first went on sale in the US in late January, following earlier sales in Korea. The phone costs $2,899, and it appears the brand was selling the device as an example of what’s possible with triple-folding tech rather than making enough units to make it into a major sales success.

Previously shared by a report from Korean outlet Donga, citing industry sources and insiders, Samsung was rumored to be ending Galaxy Z TriFold production. A couple of days after publication, Samsung confirmed the rumor.

Samsung’s website also says it is already out of stock in the US, suggesting it may have sold out faster than initially expected. Bloomberg reports some customers have been able to source units from Samsung’s brick-and-mortar stores, but they’re few and far between.

Where to Buy the Galaxy Z TriFold in the US?

If you’re looking for your own Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold, you’ve missed out on the online deals. We don’t expect the brand to introduce more stock. Instead, you’ll have to travel to one of the brand’s Samsung Experience Storage locations, which are available in seven locations.

Over the last few days, social media reports confirm the phone has been sold in Frisco, Texas, and Queens, New York. There are five other Samsung locations which are confirmed to have sold the device over the last couple of months.

Those locations are the Los Cerritos Center and the Americana at Brand in Glendale, California, plus Samsung’s Bloomington location in Minnesota. The two New York stores are Queens Center in Elmhurst and Roosevelt Field in Garden City. The final two stores are both based in Texas, at Stonebriar Centre in Frisco and The Galleria in Houston.

There is no guarantee these stores will have stock, so if you have a long way to travel, you may find it helpful to contact your nearest location before your journey. Each store has an individual phone number on Samsung’s official website.

The brand’s next foldable phones are expected to be the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8, which are likely to launch from July onward, based on past launches. Other rumors suggest there may be an additional foldable line with a book-like, wide-folding Galaxy Z Fold handset.

Elsewhere in Samsung’s phone business, the Galaxy S26 series has reportedly proven a success, but soaring industry-wide costs are putting pressure on the business. According to Korean outlet FNNews, sources say the brand has “declared an emergency management regime for its mobile phone division” amid rising component costs and concerns about their impact on profitability.
