It took a bit longer than expected, but the vivo X300 FE is now available through vivo’s official online stores in Spain, Austria and Hungary. We’ll keep an eye out for availability at other EU stores.
Well, here it is. The vivo X300 FE is priced at a hefty €1,000 – you can see it in more detail in the stores for Spain, Austria and Hungary. The phone comes with 3+1 years of warranty and a 5-year battery warranty. There’s a case and a pre-installed screen protector too. This offer is valid until the end of May. Also, the first 200 units purchased will come with a free vivo Watch GT 2.
The other option (here) costs €1,200. This is the special edition with the Zeiss Professional Kit – a Zeiss Gen 2 Telephoto Extender Lens (200mm), the case you need to mount it on the phone, a carrying case for the lens, a lanyard and a 90W Flash Charger. The first 200 buyers also get the watch.
The vivo X300 FE is available in Purple and Black, the watch (if you get it) comes in Obsidian Black and Stellar White. The vivo Watch GT 2 normally costs €130, by the way.
Let’s address the tiny elephant in the room, the vivo X300. With a better memory configuration (16/512GB vs. FE’s 12/512GB), it costs only €860 – this is with a discount, but still. You can see this offer here. If you compare the two, you will find many similarities and a few key differences.
Both phones have 6.31” LTPO OLED displays, but the FE model has a larger 6,500mAh battery, while the European X300 only has a 5,360mAh battery. Both support 90W wired and 40W wireless charging. The FE is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 (not the Elite version), while the other model uses the Dimensity 9500.
And now, the cameras. The FE has a smaller 50MP 1/1.56” main sensor than X300’s 200MP 1/1.4” main camera. The telephoto cameras are roughly the same (FE: 50MP f/2.7 73mm, X300: 50MP f/2.6 70mm) and the selfie cameras are identical (50MP). The FE only has an 8MP ultra-wide camera vs. X300’s 50MP module, however.
